An amazing cold cast bronze model of a World War I Soldier affectionately know as 'Tommy'. Approximately 350mm high, this piece will stand proud in any situation as a memory of the the world's most famous war.� The origin of the name 'Tommy' is suggested in numerous ways, but is generally deemed to have been coined by the Duke of Wellington referring to Thomas Atkins one of his determined soldiers during the Great War who, having been asked how it was going, was reputedly to have said 'All in a days work. ' The name 'Tommy� stuck throughout the 1914�1918 War and the 2nd World War too.
